"How 2B Real with Your Faith in a Whack World"

We need to base our life & theology on scripture; we should NOT base Scripture on our predetermined theology!

More on Genesis.; Institute for Creation Research; Dr Dino; Answers in Genesis; Chuck Missler's work @Koinonia House is real good! ..not perfect (as none of us are) but really good! A HEART for God & proper theology (the MIND) are 2 different things: a good heart does NOT make for right theology. Imminentcey is not only with Jesus returning but with us taking our last breath.

Lack of transitions in fossil record + overwhelming evidence of design = a Designer.

If your faith is focused on yourself there isn’t much hope since we ain't perfekt & can’t seem to save ourselves over the past few millennia.  If your faith is outside yourself in a god - being a ‘high-power’, Allah, Raja Hanaish, or even a doorknob – we need to know HOW to apply what we believe is right per our conscience with a solid basis (like the “10 Commandments”) to daily life & true peace. To treat others as you would like to be treated (“love one another”, if you will) would be ideal, but is it realistic?  Some people just have an attitude &/or actions that isn’t good!  Liars, moochers, selfish, greedy, drunk &/or dopeheads are some of these.  …yet who among us has never told a lie?  Who among us has never desired something that someone owned (excluding getting one like it)?  We’ve all done some pretty selfish things to ourselves & others: it’s all a CHOICE.

In relationship we have a tendency to feel compassion & love for the other person in it.  We want them to like us & get along with us as we them!  What would please him/her?  This can greatly help in the CHOICEs we have daily.

Ever go to a church & find it, well, DEAD? No real basics on how to apply your beliefs & faith? Either there is a strict atmosphere or people are falling [or being pushed] down acting weird, indecent &/or "out of order" (1Cor 14:40)?  Where is the balance or, rather, where is the REALITY?

HOW TO SURVIVE LIFE

Be as righteous & real as possible: let people (including yourself & God) know your only human yet pursuing holiness & God-peace (Phil 4:7; Col 3:15).

God has great plans for you.  He wants to grow closer to you each day & He wants you to enjoy your life.

You’ve made mistakes – we all have – but when you accepted Jesus as your savior you were given a new beginning.  When temptations and trials come, remember that you can turn to God.

Living life won’t always be easy.  Setbacks, discouragement & hardships are a part of life.  But you can trust in God & allow Him to support & encourage you.

1/ Find a church home.

Get hooked-up with a solid values/bible-based church family to share support & relationship with. You need to get plugged in to a church family.  Sometimes this is a difficult & threatening process, but following God[peace] will lead you as you seek a Bible-based, Spirit-filled church.

As soon as you find a church to attend, introduce yourself to the pastor & let him knowwhere your coming from & can help with or need.

2/  Make new friends.

One of the quickest ways to end up back in trouble & loose that inner Godpeace is to go back to the old neighborhood, habits & same people that you were hanging with when you got in trouble.  The Bible says temptation leads to sin & sin leads to death.  You may or may not die as a result of your sins, but if you go back to the things that landed you in trouble, you could experience the death of your freedom.  Don’t let that happen.

Find friends who are committed to the Lord & have your best interests in mind & you with them.  Making new friends is never easy, but with much prayer, persistence & being yourself, you will find that God will bring people into your life that can help you stay on track.

3/ Find a Mentor.

Mentors are trusted people who help invest in your life by providing guidance, discipleship, teaching, wisdom & hope.  It’s crucial that you have a mature believer you can confide in & seek guidance from as you go mainstream. [Deuteronomy 1:13]

4/ Be accountable to someone.

If you are serious about staying out oftrouble, you will need to find a believer to be accountable to & with.  You might choose to be accountable to members of a small group, a mentor or an elder in the church who has shown him/herself to be trustworthy & real in their faith – especially if you struggle with alcohol or drugs or other life-controlling issues in the past. [Ecclesiastes 4:9-12]

5/ Read the Bible.

Reading the Bible is one of the best ways for you to get to know God.  Find a bible version that is easily understandable (like the New Living Translation). The Bible is filled with wisdom & encouragement for every situation.  Make reading your Bible a daily priority & something never to be skipped.  Reading the Bible regularly will remind you of God’s promises & will implant wisdom within you.  [Ephesians 6:17]

6/ Talk to God.

Talking with God in a daily basis is very important.  When you pray, be honest & candid about your doubts, fears, worries, hopes & dreams.  As you pray, God will hear you & answer you in peace of decitions & thought, not always out loud.  Give Him praise & thankfulness too. God loves it when we praise Him for who He is & all He has done & is doing! [Philippians 4:6]

7/ Find some work.

Employment will not only provide you with on income, it will give you a sense of purpose & provide you with opportunities to share your faith & interests with others. Honest work is good work.  Work also teaches new skills, keeps one organized, & helps prevent boredom which will help keep you out of trouble.  {Ecclesiastes 2:24, 25]  If you are disabled, do what you can.

8/ Don’t give up!

There’s an old adage that says, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is”   Remember this when fast cash, &/or success, &/or friendship, &/or relationship, or even ministry seems easy.  Almost anything worth having in this life has a price – don’t let that price be your newfound freedom!

Though it may be tempting to take shortcuts, remember that God is in control of your life as you allow Him to be, & He truly wants what is best for you.  If you ever doubt that, read His words to you in Jeremiah 29:11 [NLT], “ “For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” “

9/ Be sure you’re right with God.

This is what God did for us: He gave His Son Jesus to go to the cross to pay the penalty for my sin & yours.  It’s said, “I owed a debt I couldn’t pay; Jesus paid a debt He didn’t owe – for us”.  If we confess our sins, choose to look to Him as the payment for those sins & accept Him into our lives, He will cleanse us from every wrong. [1John 1:9]  We need to check ourselves periodically to make sure we’re right with God. [2 Corinthians 13:5]  Relationship takes maintenance.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Keep your relationship with Christ Jesus righteous & REAL as possible. Ask Him for forgiveness of all the stankysinstuff you’ve done & for His Holy Spirit to be with you as you follow Godpeace. We do mess-up on occasion, but not making sin a habit.  Let FatherJesusGod know what’s going on in your lifeheadspirit. J

Local Churches in the Yucca Valley area:

YV Four Square / Grace Community Church /

While there are other churches of most any fundamental background in the area, some of which I’ve been to & would go back to; others which are in desperate need of repentance (see “about” section), Yucca Valley is probably like your community: “there are all sorts on both sides of the prison bars & both sides of the church doors - and pulpits”. People are people in need of a Savior – whether an individual knows it or not.  God help & have mercy on us all, as we are receptive & obey His guidance!

REMEMBER Acts 17:11 [NLT], "And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul's message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to check up on Paul and Silas, to see if they were really teaching the truth."  Prov25:2 also.

By doing this, we as laypeople will know if we're being 'fed' the right stuff & NOT some of the usual man-based 'tradition'; as well as knowing if our 'leaders' are truly following Christ [1Cor11:1] (according to their "fruit" [Mt7:16,20] 'we will know by the Word of God' [Heb4:12]).  We need to "judge righteous judgment" [Jn7:24] as well as what is stated [1Cor10:15] in 'love and meekness' [Gal6:1], thus holding people accountable - regardless of who is in question: leaders and laity alike (as well as 'examining ourselves'! [2Cor13:5]).  God have mercy on us all, and help us to 'repent quickly' [Rev2:5] when we realize we are in rebellion (sin) to the Lord Jesus.  KEEP ABIDING [Jn15:1-7], as I hope to see ya-all later!

STATEMENT OF FAITH
"You have the right to believe as you choose. Or, you have the right to disbelieve. You can worship any god, or you can worship nothing. I won't interfere with any path you choose to pursue, But I also have the right to believe what I choose. And I believe that there is no other name under heaven whereby we may be saved: Jesus Christ. My God loves everybody. And the cross of Christ is proof of that love."

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
The Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth
and of all things visible and invisible;

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only begotten Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all ages,
light from light, true God from True God,
begotten not made,
of one substance with the Father.
By Him all things were made.
For us men and our salvation
He came down from heaven,
was made flesh from the Holy Spirit
and Mary the virgin and became man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
suffered and was buried.
He rose again on the third day,
according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven.
He sits on the right hand of the Father
and will come again with glory
to judge the living and the dead.
His Kingdom will never end;

And in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord and life-giver, who proceeds from the Father.
Together with the Father and the Son
He is worshiped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets;

And in one holy *catholic and apostolic church.
We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the age to come. AMEN

(* NOTE: use of the word ‘catholic’ here does not refer to a particular denomination. It simply means ‘universal’. In this creed it refers to the fact that in God’s eyes all who affirm what is stated in this creed belong to one Christian church, aka, "body of Christ", regardless of race, denomination or sect.)

"You have the right to believe as you choose. Or, you have the right to disbelieve. You can worship any god, or you can worship nothing. I won't interfere with any path you pursue, But I also have the right to believe what I choose. And I believe that there is no other name under heaven whereby we may be saved from our stanky, prideful, screwed-up sinful selves, but by Jesus Christ having put Himself through a shameful, degrading & enormously painful death on the Cross in our place for our eternal behalf. My God loves everybody. And the cross of Christ is proof of that love." <author unknown>
